I’m packing my suitcase….
Let’s start with the luggage that should not be missing on your family vacation here in Grächen:
Warm clothes! Long trousers, jacket/rain jacket etc. Yes, even in summer. I’m sitting here in the middle of August at 11 degrees…. There are always slips.
Under shirts, because there is still a breeze here from time to time.
Sun cream, sunglasses and a sun hat are also essential, as the high-altitude sun is very strong.
Don’t pack too many changes of clothes, in an emergency you can do your laundry at Chalet Soldanella.
Towels for the whole family, kitchen linen and blankets are provided in all our apartments. The beds are also already made when you arrive. Slippers size 38 and up don’t need to be in your suitcase either.
This leaves enough space for a picnic blanket, a must for spontaneously lingering in beautiful places, and we have quite a few of them here!
For the little ones in the family….
For the smaller children in your family we can provide a crib with bed linen and a high chair. If you need a fall-out protection for the bed, we can offer that too. We also have a selection of toys on offer. The apartments are all equipped with a microwave and kettle to quickly heat up baby food.
There are socket fuses in the apartments that you can use yourself if you consider it necessary.
All windows at critical heights are fitted with a lock so that children cannot open them on their own.
For the kids in her family
While the children let off steam on the large trampoline or the beautiful forecourt, the adults can relax and enjoy the beautiful Alpine panorama. Various games and painting materials are available on request.
The big little ones in the family
You have free WiFi throughout the house, the first question when teenagers are our guests.
Board games, boccia, badminton but also the trampoline could be something for the grown-ups.
And now the really big ones…
Dear parents, we also do our best for you.
Sun loungers and parasols are available on every terrace/balcony for you to enjoy the sun and the view. By the way, every apartment has an unobstructed view of the mountains. In our garden there is a barbecue fireplace and a stone table with benches, which you can use for a cozy barbecue evening. There is plenty of wood available. We also have a mini library with novels, hiking guides and illustrated books.
Thanks to the many activities on offer for your children, you are sure to have a quiet minute or two to relax.

Robi’s forest play park
There is the Robies playground with rope park, which offers a playground with slides, climbing facilities, playhouses and caves in the beautiful shady Grächen forest on an area of approx. 2000 square meters, as well as a mini golf course and a rope park for children aged four and over with five levels of difficulty.
Barbecue areas with wood, seating and a small kiosk with snacks and drinks round off the offer.
The Robis Waldspielpark is located above the sports center and can be reached on foot and with baby carriages in about 15 minutes from your family vacation apartment in our house.
Indoor playground
If it is not so nice in summer or in winter, the indoor playground opens its doors, here you will find a large bouncy castle, various bobby cars, doll’s prams, Legos, books, cars, billiards, table tennis, pinball, kick…… ah…you can imagine. There will also be plenty of food and drink.
Ravensburger game trail
Things get a little more active on the Ravensburger games trail, among other things. In the hiking area around Grächen you will find eight small play chalets and seven play stations, at all points you can play one of the well-known Ravensburger games, if you manage to play them all, the children will receive a small surprise at the tourist office.

SiSu Family Park
On one of your tours to Hannigalp, you should stop off at Sisu’s family park, where you will find water games, a climbing park and a petting zoo as well as seating and a small kiosk, or improve your riding skills in the new bike park.

Discover the exciting play world around the Hannigalp with SiSu and his friends! Five cool stations invite you to climb, puzzle, balance, aim and swing – fun and games for young and old adventurers alike. It’s twice as much fun together!

SiSu puzzle
Go on a big puzzle tour with SiSu!
Embark on an exciting journey through Grächen and the Hannigalp and find all 9 colorful XXL SiSu figures. A tricky puzzle awaits you at each location – solve them together in the fresh air and discover SiSu’s favorite places.
Here’s how it works:
With every puzzle you solve, you get closer to the secret solution word. It gets particularly exciting on the Hannigalp: there are hidden letters scattered between the family mountain restaurant and the family park – find them all!
Your destination:
Have you cracked the puzzle? Then head to the Tourist Office – your well-deserved reward awaits you there!

On a treasure hunt with SiSu!
Put on comfortable shoes, grab the treasure map – and off you go! On this exciting tour, you will discover lots of great play and adventure stations along the bisses and through the refreshing larch forest. From lush meadows to Alpe Äbnet and the natural lake, there’s plenty to romp around, marvel at, picnic and relax.
Here’s how it works:
At each of the 8 stations, you will be asked a question. Enter the answer letter by letter in the boxes. The letters with a thick border make up the solution word at the end.
The goal:
With the correct solution code, you can open the treasure chest at the valley station in the gondola access area – and get your well-deserved favorite prize!
So go on – puzzle, discover & reward!

Hannigalp mountain restaurant
There’s also a nice lunch in the new mountain restaurant and it’s certainly relaxed! Because the new mountain restaurant on the Hannigalp has an integrated indoor playground, so mom and dad are sure to have time for a “good coffee”.
XXL fun on the Hannigalp
A huge play area full of action and fun awaits you on the Hannigalp – with the most popular outdoor games from KOOR!
What to expect:
Compete in Viking chess, try your hand at the creative Leikki throwing game, aim at cornhole or test your nerves at the giant Mikado. Also new: a pétanque court!
And best of all: all games are free – just play and enjoy!
Even more highlights:
Right next to the sun terrace of the family mountain restaurant, wooden balls race down the musical ball track with figures from the SiSu’s Friends Collection.
Who will win the 15-metre race?
Or you can cool off on the XXL water ball track in the family park.

“Magic water” water pipes
An extended hike along our “Zauberwasser” water pipes lets you rediscover the beauty of nature, while various installations along the way provide variety and relaxation for young and old alike. If you let small homemade boats made of leaves and bark drift on the water pipes, the children will be on foot in no time.
Mountain lake, Kneipp
A boat trip on our mountain lake or something for your health at the adjacent Kneipp facility – there really is something for every taste and every age in Grächen.

Flow trail for the bikers among you
Since 2021, Grächen has one more attraction: you can now race down the mountain from Hannigalp on a 5 km flow trail created by professionals. The gondola lift takes you effortlessly to the start and you can tackle new jumps and bends again and again.
Outdoor Escape Games
Pack up your family or friends and experience an interactive adventure in the open air – in the middle of the impressive mountain world of Grächen!
What to expect:

SiSu Chalk Festival
The chalk festival is all about the children. Equipped with a “starter pack” with street chalk, cups, vouchers, stickers etc., the children can let off steam. The aim is to beautify the upper village street, there are no limits to their imagination. The whole event is framed by various artists and attractions such as theater, face painting, balloon artists, bouncy castle, food corner, syrup-all-you-can-drink (hence the cups), to name but a few.
