Let's start with the luggage, which should not be missing during your family holiday here in Grächen:
Warm clothes! Long pants, jacket/rain jacket etc. Yes, even in summer. I'm sitting here in mid-August at 11 degrees.... There are always slips.
Undershirts, because a breeze still goes here from time to time.
Sun cream, sunglasses and a sun hat should not be missing, the sun at high altitude is very strong.
Don't pack too many changes of clothes, in case of emergency you have the possibility to wash your clothes at Chalet Soldanella.
Towels for the whole family, kitchen linen and blankets are available in all our apartments. The beds are also already made upon your arrival. Slippers from size 38 also do not need to be in the suitcase.
There is now enough room for a picnic blanket, a must for spontaneously lingering in beautiful places, and we have a few of those here!
For the smaller children we can provide a cot with bedding and a high chair. We also have a selection of toys to offer. The apartments are all equipped with a microwave and kettle to quickly heat baby food.
There are socket protectors in the apartments which you can use yourself if you think it is necessary.
All windows at critical heights are fitted with a lock to prevent children from opening them independently.
With our sandpit, the swing and the big trampoline your children can occupy themselves around the house. We can provide you with various games or painting materials on request.
If you need a fall out protection for the bed, we can offer that too.
In the whole house you have free Wlan, the first question when teenagers are our guests.
Board games, boccia, badminton but also the trampoline, could be something for the big ones.
Dear parents, we make every effort for you as well.
On each terrace/balcony there are sun loungers and parasols for you to enjoy the sun and the view. By the way, every apartment has an unobstructed view of the mountains. In our garden is a barbecue fireplace and a stone table with benches, use this for a cozy barbecue evening. There is enough wood available. We also have a mini library with novels, hiking guides or illustrated books.
With the many activities on offer for your children, you are sure to have a quiet minute or two to relax.

But now to the numerous activities that you can experience in Grächen and the surrounding area.
There is the Robies playground with rope park, this offers on an area of about 2000 square meters a playground with slides, climbing possibilities, play houses and caves in the beautiful shady Grächner forest, a miniature golf course belongs to it as well as a rope park from four years with five difficulty levels.
Barbecue areas with wood, seating and a small kiosk with snacks and drinks complete the offer.
Robis Waldspielpark is located above the sports centre and can be reached on foot or with a pushchair in about 15 minutes from your holiday apartment in our house.
Should it not be so nice in summer or even in winter, the indoor playground opens its doors, here you will find a large bouncy castle, various Bobbycars, doll's prams, Legos, books, cars, billiards, table tennis, pinball, Kick...... oh...you can imagine it. Here, too, the physical well-being will be taken care of.
Things get a little more active at the Ravensburger games trail, among other things. In the hiking area around Grächen you will find eight small game chalets and seven game stations, at all points you can play one of the well-known Ravensburger games, if you manage to play all of them, the children will receive a small surprise at the tourist office.
Grächen Tourism:
On one of your tours to Hannigalp, you should stop off at Sisu's family park, where you will find water games, a climbing park and a petting zoo as well as seating and various snack vending machines.
You can also have a nice lunch in the new mountain restaurant and also definitely relax! Because the new mountain restaurant on Hannigalp has an integrated indoor playground, mum and dad are sure to have time for a "good coffee".
An extended hike along our water pipes "magic water" lets you discover the beauty of nature anew, various installations along the way provide variety and relaxation for young and old. When they float small self-made boats made of leaves and bark on the water pipes, the children are then also very quick on their feet.
A boat trip on our mountain lake or something for your health at the adjacent Kneipp facility, in Grächen there really is something for every taste and age.

Grächen has recently been enriched with a new attraction: you can now race down the mountain from Hannigalp on a 5 km long flow trail created by professionals. The gondola lift takes you effortlessly to the start and you can always master new jumps or curves.
The chalk festival is all about the kids. Equipped with a "starter pack" of street chalk, cups, coupons, stickers, etc., the kids can let off steam. The aim is to beautify the upper village street, there are no limits to the imagination. The whole thing is framed with various artists and attractions such as, theater, face painting for children, balloon artists, bouncy castle, food corner, syrup-all-you-can-drink (hence the cups), to name a few.

We start with the suitcase, winter clothes means a lot of luggage, there can be a lot together. In Chalet Soldanella there is a washing machine at your disposal, so you can maybe leave one or two things at home.
Ski, ski equipment and accessories can of course be rented here in Grächen.
Chalet Soldanella is only a 4 minute walk to the Hannigalp cable car, so you can easily transport your equipment and there is no extra cost for a rental depot.
In our house there is a ski rack, as well as a large shelf for ski boots, so that they are not in your way in your apartment.
For cosy evenings you can borrow a fondue set or a raclette oven from us. We also have a selection for game nights, as well as various books in our mini library.
You can also be thrifty with toys in your luggage, just tell us the age of your children before you start your trip and we will lay out age-appropriate toys.
Kitchen, bathroom and bed linen is available, the beds will already be made for you. You don't have to pack detergent and dishwasher tabs either.

Now let's get to all the activities you can experience in Grächen in winter.
Directly in front of your holiday home is a sloping field, perfect for tobogganing and even some first skiing attempts have taken place here. An ideal place if you want to take a day off skiing, or if your children still have power after skiing, here you give them the rest, because pulling the bob back up is manual work here.
Then here, of course, the Hannigalp, first and foremost the new mountain restaurant with children's paradise.
In addition to the special family pot, which promises a cheap, nutritious meal for 2 people or more, there is also the integrated 200 m2 indoor playground "Wolkenland", and just as a tip, go skiing or the like with your children first, once the little ones are playing in the restaurant, you will not get them motivated to ski so quickly.
By the way, you can also charge your mobile phone, because in the mountain restaurant on Hannigalp there are several charging stations for all common brands and for a fee. There is also free wifi in the restaurant.
In winter, the Sisu Family Park is the place for the little ones, here they can learn to ski and two "magic carpets" will bring them back up the hill without any effort. During a break, they can climb on the climbing frame, go to the cinema in the igloo or whiz down the snow tube with tyres. So it won't be boring.
If mum and dad would like to go skiing on their own, you can have your children looked after in the nursery on the Hannigalp.
Care is included for two hours a day. and your children between 2 and 6 can also have lunch there if they wish.
There is the SiSu Talent School (4 - 5 years), the above mentioned 50.000 m2 SiSu Family Park (5 - 8 years). The Family Funslope or the Jump Area each for children from 8 years.
A highlight in winter are always the recordings of your skiing skills on the Skimovie slope (Paradiesli). Makes you feel like the famous ski racers. The ActionCam works in a similar way on the Funslope or the toboggan run, you can get the photos at the pick-up machine at the valley station.
If the weather in Grächen is bad or you want to take a break for a day, we can recommend the indoor playground in the sports centre, where your offspring can play freely and creatively, move around or simply linger. In addition, the sports centre offers a tennis court and a fitness studio as well as a natural ice rink with regular ice disco. You can rent skates on site.
For all adrenaline junkies or those who want to become one we have two more attractions in Grächen, on the one hand there is the snowbike, have you heard of it?
On the Hannigalp you can let the world champion in snowbike riding explain this adventure to you. They whiz down the slope sitting on a small frame with little skis on their feet.
Similar would be on the other hand the fatbike, a real bike, so a mountain bike with very wide tires, I think everything else you can imagine.
Tandem paragliding, snowshoeing, village tours, treasure hunts and so much more. In Grächen you can do more than ski, I promise.
